CHICAGO (AP) _ Robert Burrage scored 19 points as hot-shooting Central Connecticut rolled over Northeastern Illinois 83-70 Thursday in the Mid-Continent Conference.
Central Connecticut took a 41-26 halftime lead and dominated throughout the game, connecting on half of its field goal attempts and half of its 3-pointers.
Northeastern Illinois was so far off the mark, its 3-point shooting at .368 percent was better than its overall field goal attempts, where fewer than one-third went in.
The final score was the closest Northeastern got to the visitors after the opening minutes.
Bill Langheim contributed 18 points to Central Connecticut (8-15, 6-9).
Northeastern Illinois (4-20, 2-14) was led in scoring by Brian Bestor with 20 points and Matt Wallace with 19.
