Penguins Call Up Goaltender Caron
PITTSBURGH (AP) _ The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled goaltender Sebastien Caron from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL on Tuesday.
Caron will take the spot of Johan Hedberg, who is day-to-day with a shoulder injury. Jean-Sebastien Aubin started for the Penguins in Tuesday night’s game against the New York Islanders.
Caron has played in 26 games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He has a 3.12 goals-against average and a record of 11-14-1.
Defenseman Dick Tarnstrom and forward Jan Hrdina also missed Tuesday’s game with injuries.
