AP is moving election test reports for the November 6, (Wyoming) general election starting on Monday, October 8:

Mondays from 1-3 p.m. EDT, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT (two hours) and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-3 p.m. EDT, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. MDT (four hours).

Last election test is on Monday, Nov. 5 from 11-3 p.m. EST, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. MST (four hours). No winners will be called during the last test.

YELLOWSTONE MINING

LIVINGSTON, Mont. — U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke visits Montana on Monday to extend for another 20 years a ban on new mining claims outside Yellowstone National Park that was first imposed under President Barack Obama. The ban has attracted rare bipartisan agreement after Republicans and Democrats alike declared the 30,000-acre area worthy of special protections.

— WYOMING WILDFIRES — Rain and cooler weather have allowed officials to lift the closure around a wildfire that destroyed dozens of homes in western Wyoming.

— WYOMING-ROCK SPRINGS KILLING — A southern Wyoming man who fatally shot his girlfriend has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

— BEARTOOTH HIGHWAY — The Beartooth Highway near Yellowstone National Park has closed for the winter season.

HONOLULU — Freshman Chevan Cordeiro threw a 38-yard touchdown pass to JoJo Ward with 1:26 to play to Hawaii beat Wyoming 17-13 on Saturday night and move to 3-0 in Mountain West Conference play for the first time in program history. Cordeiro, making his first career start in place of the injured Cole McDonald, was 19-of-29 passing for 148 yards and two touchdowns. McDonald entered the weekend as the nation’s leader in passing yards (2,100) and passing touchdowns (24). SENT: 230 words.

BRONCOS-JETS

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Isaiah Crowell ran for a franchise-record 219 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown, and Sam Darnold threw two TD passes to Robby Anderson, including a 76-yarder, to help the big-play New York Jets snap a three-game losing streak with a 34-16 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Darnold also had a TD toss to Terrelle Pryor that sealed the game late in the fourth quarter for the Jets (2-3). The rookie quarterback finished 10 of 22 for 198 yards and the three scores with an interception to help New York to its first win since the season opener.
