Two Big Games for UML

February 8, 2019

LOWELL -- The Tsongas Center should be rocking this weekend.

The UMass Lowell hockey team, in the midst of an eight-game unbeaten streak (7-0-1), will host Boston College Friday and UMass Saturday. The puck will drop at 7 both nights.

They are the top three teams in Hockey East.

UML’s unbeaten streak started Jan. 4 when the River Hawks upset UMass, 2-1, in Amherst.

UMass (20-5-0, 12-3-0), the second-ranked team in the nation, sits atop HE with 24 points.

BC (10-12-3, 9-4-3) has 21 points, one more than third-place UMass Lowell (15-8-2, 9-4-2), which has played one fewer league game than the Eagles.

Ryan Lohin (10 goals, 12 assists, 22 points) continues to lead UML in scoring, followed by Ryan Dmowski (10-6-16), Mattias Goransson (4-12-16) and Connor Sodergren (4-12-16).

Tyler Wall (1.90 goals against average) has been terrific recently in net.
