January 29, 2019

NORFOLK - Three people were arrested after a shoplifting incident.

According to Norfolk Police Captain Mike Bauer, officers were called to Wal-Mart Sunday night for a shoplifting incident and to serve an arrest warrant.

Wal-Mart loss prevention reported that 20-year-old Pacey Nicklen with three active Madison County arrest warrants was in the store, at the self-checkout and failing to scan all the items that he was bagging.

In the parking lot, Nicklen was arrested for the warrants and theft. In a subsequent search of his vehicle, officers recovered an orange syringe cap that tested positive for methamphetamine. This resulted in another charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

While recovering the stolen Wal-Mart items from the car, officers located a black bag with multiple syringes and orange caps, small baggies with white residue inside, a silver spoon, and a small metal rod.

One of the small baggies with residue tested positive for methamphetamine.

In the center console was a black zip-up container, which contained a multi-colored glass bong with white residue inside that also tested positive for methamphetamine.

It was further learned that Nicklen had arrived at Wal-Mart with 39-year-old Stacy Pojar of Norfolk and 40-year-old Michael Pojar also of Norfolk, in the vehicle Nicklen had been in.

Stacy Pojar was interviewed about the recovered items and where each occupant of the car was seated in relation to the drug paraphernalia.

At the conclusion of the interview, both Michael and Stacy Pojar were also arrested for possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

All three were housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
