NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say a North Adams man reported missing last week has been found shot to death in New York City.
The Berkshire district attorney’s office says 25-year-old Joshua Bressette was found May 8 on a rooftop in the Bronx with gunshot wounds to the head and back. He was not positively identified until Thursday. His death is being investigated as a homicide,
The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1jlVnMs ) reports that Bressette had last been seen outside a North Adams supermarket on May 5.
New York City police say there have been no arrests.
Bressette was among five North Adams residents arrested in February as part of what police called a major drug bust, which netted more than 250 bags of heroin, but no connection between his arrest and death has been disclosed.
