REALTOR OF THE WEEK Dan McCarver enjoys working with clientele

March 10, 2019

For Dan McCarver, a Realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene, real estate provides a great opportunity to meet people and to work with them on a personal level.

“This industry is ever-changing. However, I believe that clients will always seek to work with a full-time professional Realtor, not only because of the market knowledge and customer service, but also because buying and selling alone can be time consuming, and expensive with even the smallest mistake,” McCarver said.

McCarver’s main focus area is Bay Oaks subdivision in Clear Lake, an area he has been assisting clients in since 1999.

“It’s a wooded, golf community with a lot to offer. In the last few years we see more young families moving in because of schools and location to employment. It remains a move-up market within the Clear Lake area,” McCarver said.

The local market in and around Clear Lake is stable, with a reasonable amount of inventory. Interest rates are affordable, and financing is readily available.

McCarver is a second-generation Houstonian, and has called Bay Oaks home for the past decade. In fact, he bought his home on a listing appointment.

McCarver has always been in real estate, even when he was growing up.

“My mother, Barbara McCarver, started her real estate business in Houston in 1950. I worked with my mom until 2000 when we sold our company to Gary Greene Realtors,” McCarver said.

And like his mother, he is an award-winning Realtor, and a few of those awards and honors include being the No. 1 sales associate for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene 10 times. He has also received the national Emerald Elite Award.

Having grown up around a real estate office, McCarver paid attention to the agents who were successful and learned from them.

He paid attention to their customer service, organization and communication skills, being available to clients and other skills that motivate clients to give Realtors a five-star rating on HAR.com, which is why McCarver has repeat business and referrals. He learned from the best.
