Man killed during argument at North Side park identified
A man killed during an argument at a pick-up basketball game Tuesday at a North Side park was identified Wednesday.
Ramiro Longoria, 28, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds at 7:49 p.m. at the Lady Bird Johnson Community Park, 10700 Nacogdoches, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
San Antonio police said Longoria got into an argument with at least one other player, who allegedly pulled out a handgun.

The suspect, believed to be a man in his late teens or early 20s, shot Longoria and injured two other men, police said.
Longoria was pronounced at the scene after witnesses and EMS personnel tried to revive him.
A second man shot in the leg was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, McManus said. The third man was grazed and treated at the scene.
The suspect has not been identified and remains at large as of Wednesday evening.
Antonio Acosta Jr., 32, is frequently at the park to help youth soccer players with the One Goal Football Club, which holds practices at a field just feet away from where the shooting occurred.
Acosta said he and his colleague made sure the 150 kids practicing on the field were safe before running to the court, where they found Longoria on the ground.

“They said he had a pulse and they were trying to help him,” Acosta said.
He said fights often erupt at the basketball court where vandalism and drug exchanges are rampant.
“It was a fight over a basketball game,” Acosta said. “It was over something stupid and somebody lost their life.”
