Atlanta Journal-Constitution Names Two to News Posts
ATLANTA (AP) _ Glenn McCutchen, managing editor of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, has been promoted to the new position of executive editor of the newspapers.
McCutchen, 45, managing editor since 1985, will oversee all budget, personnel and administrative matters, the Journal-Constitution announced over the weekend.
McCutchen was succeeded as managing editor by veteran USA Today editor John W. Walter Jr., 42.
He joined USA Today as planning editor in 1981, and has served as special projects editor, coordinator of daily news operations and supervisor of its supplement, USA Weekend, as well as liaison to the TV program ‴USA Today on TV.″
