GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) _ B.J. LaRue had 16 points and Jerry Carstensen added 15 for Wisconsin-Green Bay in a 96-54 victory over Northeastern Illinois Saturday night.
The Phoenix (3-0) hit 5-of-5 from 3-point range in the first half to put the game away early. Northeastern (0-3) had trouble holding onto the ball, committing 14 turnovers in the first half.
Green Bay improved to 7-1 in the series with Northeastern, whose athletic teams will be ceasing competition next year.
The Golden Eagles dug themselves an early hole with six team fouls and 3 turnovers in the first 4 minutes of the game. They had 14 turnovers in the first half.
Green Bay took a 33-9 lead with the help of a pair of Ryan Borowitz 3-pointers.
Green Bay, shooting 64 percent from the field, built a 55-23 halftime lead.
