New Jersey Resources: Fiscal 3Q Earnings Snapshot

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) _ New Jersey Resources Corp. (NJR) on Tuesday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $14.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Wall Township, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 16 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 9 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.

The energy services holding company posted revenue of $543.4 million in the period.

New Jersey Resources expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.60 to $2.70 per share.

New Jersey Resources shares have climbed 15 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 7 percent in the last 12 months.
