New Scrabble Words
If you play Scrabble and an opponent drops the word “OK” on you - don’t be quick to challenge.
It’s now an official word, according to “The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary.” OK joins EW among 300 new words added to the updated word reference for the game. The new version of the Scrabble dictionary is out yesterday. One of the most anticipated words is “QAPIK,” a unit of currency in Azerbaijan. More important to Scrabble players, it’s one of the fewer than two dozen playable words that have a “Q” but don’t need a “U.”
The official Scrabble dictionary holds more than 100,000 words - with some of the newest including beatdown, twerk, botnet, emoji, facepalm, frowny, hivemind, puggle and nubber.
