November 30, 2018

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Florence Police Thursday afternoon cleared two cases involving the theft of packages from a porch in the Forest Lake Subdivision.

Amber Denise Amerson was arrested at 12:30 p.m. by Florence Police and Lamar Police officers and charged with two counts of petit larceny $2,000 or less, according to a release issued by the Florence Police Department.

“These charges stem from allegations that Ms. Amerson went to a residence in the 2100 block of Duck Hunter Point on (Nov. 20 24), and stole multiple packages from the front porch. The incidents were recorded on the resident’s home security system,” Lt. Mike Brandt wrote in the release.

She was transported to the Florence County Detention Center.
