Red Raiders Battle Past Bernardians

The Fitchburg High girls’ volleyball team fended off a tough challenge from cross-town rival St. Bernard’s on Wednesday, winning 3-1 at the Doug Grutchfield Field House.

The win lifts the Red Raiders to 2-2 on the year.

For the Bernardians -- who took on players from Sizer this season -- Mackenzie Pupecki (18 service points), Rebecca Thibaudeau and Amy Julie Garros Gusmao all performed well from the service line in the loss.
