Body of South Webster man found in Washington Township
IRONTON — The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports:
DEATH INVESTIGATION: The body of a 39-year-old South Webster, Ohio, man was found near a ravine off County Road 33 in Washington Township last week. The victim was identified as Jason L. Caldwell. Initial reports are that he fell. The body was transported to Montgomery County for an autopsy.
FELONIOUS ASSAULT: A 43-year-old Proctorville area man reported last week that he was stabbed in the arm. A sheriff’s deputy arrested David Blair, 20, of Daisy Drive, Proctorville, on a charge of felonious assault and transported him to jail.
THEFT: A 46-year-old South Point area man reported that he ordered two computers off Amazon valued at $1,965 and that he never received them. The company said someone signed for the computers.
THEFT: A 49-year-old Proctorville area woman reported Saturday that someone stole jewelry valued at $4,995.
BURGLARY: A 23-year-old Ironton area woman reported last week that someone took a recliner and a television from her property. The items were valued at $600.
THEFT: A 77-year-old Proctorville area woman reported last week that someone hacked into her bank account and took more than $1,100.
DRUG OVERDOSE: Lawrence County EMTs responded to a drug overdose call and gave 4 milligrams of Narcan to a South Point area man. He was ordered to get substance abuse treatment or face criminal charges.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 36-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that a man she was staying with shoved her and threatened to kill her, grabbed her arm, bruising it, and slapped her in the face and began choking her. A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 57-year-old South Point area man on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 26-year-old Chesapeake area woman reported last week that her boyfriend shoved her and choked her before throwing her on the bed and choking her. A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 30-year-old Huntington man on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 48-year-old Ironton area man reported last week that his girlfriend clawed his face and arms. A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 45-year-old Perry Township woman on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and transported her to jail.
