Inez O. Beerbohm

Inez O. Beerbohm passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019, of complications of multiple sclerosis.

Born Nov. 8, 1940, to Roland Sr. and Clara Ritter, she attended grade school in the town of Hubbard and graduated from Hustisford High School in 1958. On Nov. 6, 1966, she was united in marriage with William Beerbohm Jr. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Neosho.

From age 18 until her retirement at the age of 57, she worked at Kroger which became the original Piggly Wiggly in Watertown.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown since 1969.

Inez was a Lutheran Girl Pioneer leader and dedicated room mother for the years her only daughter attended grade school at St. John’s. She enjoyed spending vacations on Fox Lake, traveling with her daughter, watching birds and especially time with her pride and joy, her grandchildren, and watching them grow up, attending their concerts and sporting events.

She enjoyed watching all the ball games at Riverside Park and playing euchre. She was proud to get her driver’s license a year before her daughter at the age of 42.

Mother of Sharon (Scott) Kumbier; proud grandmother of Morgan (Andrew) Beyer and Blake (Caitlyn Strauss) Kumbier. Further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Inez was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Preceded in death by husband, Bill; parents; parents-in-law, William Sr. and Bernice Beerbohm; sisters, Marcella Koepsell, Clara Mae Phelps; brother, Roland Ritter Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Rodney Warnecke officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown.
