Martinez practices today; Nebraska football Purdue game time announced
Big news came out of today’s Nebraska athletics press conference before coach Scott Frost even took the podium.
The Omaha World Herald reports that freshman starting quarterback Adrian Martinez practiced according to offensive lineman Tanner Farmer. Martinez missed the conclusion of Nebraska’s opening game against Colorado after a controversial play resulted in his injury. Walk-on quarterback Andrew Bunch started in his place in the Huskers’ loss versus Troy last Saturday. In other Nebraska football news, the Big Ten Conference announced that the Huskers’ Sept. 29 home game against Purdue will kick off at 2:30 and will be televised by Big Ten Network. Purdue has lost three heartbreakers to open the season, 31-27 to Northwestern, 20-19 against Eastern Michigan and 40-37 versus Missouri. The Boilermakers take on Boston College on Saturday.
