The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Ken Johnson in Somerset:

Driving under the influence

• John Crowe, 31, Main Street, Rilltown, has been charged with driving under the influence, drug paraphernalia possession and three summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 2:21 a.m. Dec. 8 Somerset Borough police stopped a vehicle driven by Crowe at West Main Street and South Franklin Avenue for speeding. A marijuana pipe was found in the vehicle. A blood test showed Crowe had marijuana in his system at the time of the stop, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Feb. 8.

• Kenneth Turley, 61, South Pike Road, Sarver, has been charged with driving under the influence. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 7:32 p.m. Nov. 26 Somerset Borough police stopped a vehicle driven by Turley along South Edgewood Avenue for multiple traffic violations. Turley had a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. Feb. 8.

• Michael Henning, 59, Kuhntown Road, Jefferson Township, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence and three summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 22 state police stopped a vehicle driven by Henning along Glades Pike in Somerset Township for swerving. Henning had a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Feb. 12.

Drug possession

• John Scott Jr., 30, East Main Street, Somerset, has been charged with intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 4:05 p.m. Dec. 21 Somerset Borough police found syringes, marijuana, methamphetamine, a digital scale, baggies and cotton on Scott at an apartment along East Main Street. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:40 a.m. Feb. 12.

• Mark Wentz, 52, Lavansville Road, Somerset Township, has been charged with intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and drug paraphernalia possession. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 3:13 p.m. Dec. 21 Somerset Borough police found three heroin stamp bags, three empty stamp bags, smoking devices, syringes and other drug paraphernalia inside Wentz’s apartment. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. Feb. 12.

• Jonathon Smathers, 33, Greenville Road, Denver, Pennsylvania, has been charged with marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and two summary offenses. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 1:24 p.m. Dec. 20 state police stopped a vehicle driven by Smathers along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset Township for speeding. Police found a small amount of marijuana and a pipe on Smathers. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19.

Unlawful dissemination

Duke Sidone, 41, Barnett Road, Boswell, has been charged with unlawful dissemination of an intimate image and a summary offense. According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Dec. 21 state police received a report from a woman that Sidone had posted nude photos of her on the internet without her permission. Sidone later admitted to posting the photos, according to the affidavit. A preliminary hearing had not been scheduled as of Friday evening, according to an online court document.
