ATLANTA (AP) _ The Atlanta Braves activated right-handed reliever Kevin Gryboski from the disabled list Monday after he pitched two scoreless innings in the minor leagues.
Gryboski had been on the DL since July 24 with a sore right elbow. Until the injury, he was one of the most effective middle relievers in the Braves bullpen, going 2-1 with a 2.27 ERA.
To make room for Gryboski on the 25-man roster, the Braves placed rookie left-hander John Foster (10.80 ERA) on the DL.
Foster has been suffering minor dizziness and will return to Richmond, where the team’s Triple-A team is located, for tests.
