Last-place Leicester beats West Brom 3-2 in Premier League
BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) — Jamie Vardy scored an injury-time winner to boost last-place Leicester’s chances of staving off relegation with a 3-2 victory at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Leicester came from a goal down twice to secure its second straight victory that puts it three points from safety with a game in hand on 17th-place Hull, and only one point behind Queens Park Rangers and Burnley.
Darren Fletcher put West Brom ahead in the eighth minute before David Nugent equalized for the visitors. Craig Gardner restored the hosts’ lead in the 26th but Robert Huth headed Leicester level again in the 81st before Vardy pounced in the first minute of injury time.
West Brom is 14th, still seven points above the relegation zone with six rounds to go.
