OARAI, Japan (AP) _ Eduardo Herrera of Colombia, Samson Gimson of Singapore and Japan’s Yoshikazu Yokoshima shot 4-under-par 68s on Thursday to share the first-round lead in the $909,000 Mitsubishi Galant tournament.

One stroke back were Australian Roger Mackay and Japanese Eiichi Itai, Toshiaki Odate and Kazuhito Takami.

American Todd Hamilton shot a 71.

NEW YORK (AP) - Australia’s Lisa Ondieki, the 1988 women’s Olympic marathon silver medalist and the 1992 New York City Marathon winner, has entered the Advil Mini Marathon June 12.

The 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) women’s only race will be held in Central Park.

Ondieki, the runner-up at the 1985 and 1986 New York City Marathon, won last year’s race in 2 hours, 24 minutes, 40 seconds, a course record for women.

She finished second in last year’s Mini Marathon to Liz McColgan of Scotland and won the event in 1987.

BECKENHAM, England (AP) - Ivan Lendl, following his first-round exit in the French Open, entered next week’s grass court tournament at Beckenham. Lendl will use the event as a warmup for Wimbledon, a tournament he has never won.

Lendl won at Beckenham in 1990 and ’91.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Four national champions and all the winners at the U.S. Armed Forces and National Golden Gloves tournaments head the list of 48 fighters who qualified for this summer’s U.S. Olympic Festival in San Antonio.

U.S. champions Aristead Clayton Jr. of Baker, La.; Abayomi Miller of Toledo, Ohio; Wayne Blair of Miami, and Hector Colon of Milwaukee will head the East team.

Four boxers in each of the 12 Olympic weight categories will compete in the three-day event, July 29-Aug. 1.
