New round of programming coming up at Needles Branch Library
NEEDLES — Special programming is offered at the Needles branch of the San Bernardino County Library.
A Superhero Scavenger Hunt is being planned for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3.
Story time for all ages is offered Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. and includes a craft project.
Oct. 10 - Make a witch Halloween countdown craft with seasonal stories
Oct. 17 - Make a Halloween mobile.
Oct. 24 - Make a haunted house and hear monster stories.
Oct. 31 - Wear a spider hat home to scare your friends.
Nov. 7 - Thanksgiving stories with a special related craft.
Nov. 14 - Celebrate American Indian/Alaskan Native Heritage Month with pecial stories and making Inuit snow goggles.
Basic computer classes for adults will be offered Thursdays at 3 p.m. through Nov. 15.
Little artists will create fun, sometimes messy projects Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
Oct. 16 - Focuses on the letter T by making a tipping truck.
Oct. 23 - Learn about the letter U by making a unicycle rider.
Oct. 30 - Celebrate the V by making a VW finger car.
Nov. 6 - W means making a western wagon.
Nov. 13 - Come and make this mystery craft featuring the letter X
A book club for adults meets at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15. The group will discuss The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom on Oct. 20; Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena on Nov. 11.
Celebrate literacy in the largest shared reading experience: Jump Start Read for the Record, 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
Baker’s Book Club, a program for ages four through 17, continues through Nov. 17.
