VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Brothers Ramon and Pedro Martinez pitched well in their first confrontation, and Garry Ingram singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Montreal Expos 4-2 Wednesday.

Ingram’s two-out hit drove in Juan Castro to snap a 2-2 tie, and Wilton Guerrero also scored when Montreal left fielder Henry Rodriguez made an error on the play.

Ramon Martinez, who will pitch on opening day for the Dodgers at Houston on Monday, allowed two hits and one run in six innings. He held the Expos hitless after the first, when F.P. Santangelo doubled, moved to third on an infield single by Rondell White and scored as Rodriguez grounded out.

Pedro Martinez was just as effective as his older brother, scattering six hits in five shutout innings.

The Dodgers tied it in the sixth when Mike Piazza homered off Montreal reliever Barry Manuel, and took a 2-1 lead in the seventh on an RBI single by Carlos Hernandez.

Dave Silvestri homered off winner Joey Eischen in the top of the eighth to make it 2-2.

Antonio Osuna blanked the Expos in the ninth to earn a save. Left-handed reliever Scott Radinsky, making his second appearance of the spring after battling tendinitis in his middle finger, allowed no hits and one walk in a scoreless seventh. He struck out two.

Brett Butler went 3-for-3 for the Dodgers, raising his batting average to .412 and his on-base percentage to .538.
