Patriots May Move to Connecticut
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has 48 hours to decide whether to move his franchise to Connecticut, a television station reported Wednesday.
WVIT-TV said an agreement in principle was reached after lengthy negotiations between Kraft, Connecticut Gov. John G. Rowland and business leaders. The team owner has 48 hours to take it or leave it, the TV station said.
Another station, WFSB-TV, reported that the deal involves a $300 million, open-air stadium in downtown Hartford, part of a larger proposed development known as Adriaen’s Landing.
