T.J. Cunningham, former NFL player, shot to death in fight over parking spot
Former Seattle Seahawks safety T.J. Cunningham died Monday a day after a neighbor shot him multiple times during a dispute over a parking spot.
Cunningham played collegiately at the University of Colorado and lived in the state, working as an assistant principal at a high school in Aurora, Colorado.
Cunningham and his neighbor, Marcus Johnson, agreed over text to “settle” a long-time disagreement over a parking spot they both wanted, the New York Post reported.
Johnson shot Cunningham multiple times on Sunday, and the victim died Monday from his injuries.
Cunningham spent one year in the NFL, appearing in nine games for the Seahawks in 1996.
