Georgia mother, teen daughter killed in wreck
MACON, Ga. (AP) — A Georgia woman and her daughter have died in a head-on collision that also injured a third person.
News outlets reported that the wreck happened Tuesday night in Jones County.
Sheriff’s investigator James Simmons said Jennifer Hammack of Milledgeville and her 16-year-old daughter, Erica Luca, died in the wreck near the Jones and Baldwin county line.
Simmons said Hammack and her daughter were in a vehicle that was hit by a pickup truck that crossed the center line. The driver of the pickup truck was in stable condition at the Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon.
Simmons said investigators don’t know why the pickup crossed the center line. That person’s name has not been released.
