Suspected meth dealer arrested in Havasu raid
A months-long investigation culminated last week in the arrest of a Lake Havasu City man suspected of selling methamphetamine from his home and at a Kiowa Boulevard business.
Chad A. Van Allen, 31, was arrested at the business Dec. 12, where he was allegedly found in possession of 28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, as well as small amounts of heroin and cannabis. That evening, a Havasu SWAT team served a search warrant at Van Allen’s Catalina Drive arrest.
The search yielded seven ounces of cannabis, several additional grams of methamphetamine and two firearms, according to a Monday press release by city officials. A 22-year-old Lake Havasu City woman, identified as Jacqueline Cazares, was also found, and arrested at the scene.
Van Allen was charged with possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, weapons misconduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cazares was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Van Allen was held on a $35,000 cash-only bond, and transferred to Mohave County Jail after his initial court appearance.
