BP: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
LONDON (AP) _ BP PLC (BP) on Tuesday reported second-quarter earnings of $1.82 billion.
The London-based company said it had profit of 54 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 83 cents per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 78 cents per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $73.75 billion in the period.
BP shares have increased 3% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 12% in the last 12 months.
