Second man accused in heroin death
PITTSFIELD, Ill. (AP) — A second man faces charges in connection with the drug-related death of a western Illinois woman.
The Quincy Herald-Whig (http://bit.ly/WTYj4Z ) reports that 26-year-old Chad Woolridge of Pearl is charged in Pike County with obstruction of justice.
Co-defendant John Edgar already was charged with drug-induced homicide in the heroin death last September of 47-year-old Shanda Lopez of Milton.
Authorities contend Edgar supplied the drugs on which Lopez overdosed. The 25-year-old Pearl man has pleaded not guilty.
Woolridge couldn’t be reached for comment Monday. He doesn’t have a listed home telephone number, and it isn’t clear if he has an attorney.
