Texas Tech has gotten to its first Final Four with contrasting guards Jarrett Culver and Matt Mooney. Culver is the sophomore standout who stayed home to play after Chris Beard became coach of the Red Raiders. BKC--ALL-AMERICA TEAM

The season did not end as Zion Williamson and R.J. Barrett intended. The fabulous freshmen came to Duke to win a national championship and their bid came up short with a loss to Michigan State in the Elite Eight. Williamson and Barrett still managed to make a bit of history. The Duke duo was named to The Associated Press All-America team on Tuesday, becoming the second freshman teammates to make the first team in the same season. They were joined by Tennessee’s Grant Williams, Michigan State’s Cassius Winston and Ja Morant of Murray State. HOUSTON _ Prosecutors say house alarms and motion detectors indicate a Houston teenager whose father was a standout linebacker for Texas A&M before a brief NFL career fatally shot his parents. Jurors were told during opening statements Tuesday that no one forced their way into the home and that Antonio Armstrong Jr. was the only person detected inside just moments before the shooting in July 2016.
