Blaze at abandoned apartment rekindles; no one is injured

Huntington firefighters extinguish a structure fire in the alley between Monroe Avenue and Jackson Avenue on Tuesday in Huntington.

HUNTINGTON — No one was injured when a fire rekindled at a previously burned-out apartment along 11th Street West in Huntington on Tuesday.

The apartment, in an alley between Monroe Avenue and Jackson Avenue, did not have an electrical hookup and no one was living there.

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
