Accident in Confluence
Two vehicles collided on Hughart Street in Confluence on Friday. Rickey Latshaw, 60, of Markleton, pulled out of a back alley and struck a car being driven by Sam Spittal, 59, of Confluence, who had a passenger in his vehicle. No one was injured in the accident, according to state police.
Deer crossing leads to accident
No one was hurt in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford County.
Megan L. Saylor, 29, of Windber, and Lawrence S. Daigle, 65, of York, were both driving north on Bedford Valley Road at 10:32 p.m. when the vehicle in front of Saylor’s vehicle came to a complete stop for a crossing deer.
Daigle failed to stop and struck Saylor’s sport utility vehicle in the rear bumper, according to state police. His car sustained disabling damage. Saylor’s vehicle sustained functional damage.
