SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) _ Maurice Clark scored 22 points, while Troy Green added 19 points and six assists Wednesday night as Southeastern Louisiana opened its college basketball season with an 85-74 victory over Centenary.

All five Southeastern starters scored in double figures, Glenn Charles had 11 points, and Cory Combs and Noble Evans had 10 points each as Southeastern broke away from a 41-41 halftime tie to outscore Centenary (0-2) by 44-33 in the second half.

Herbert Lang’s 21 points led Centenary. Ronnie McCollum added 19 points, Reggie Love had 13 and Cornell Hardman had 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Tim Law also had a game-high 11 assists for the Gents.
