HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) _ Charles Berry passed for 241 yards and two touchdowns, and James Madison held Lock Haven to two first downs Saturday as the Dukes coasted to a 72-0 victory.

Berry was 16-for-20 with one interception and B.J. Minor ran for three touchdowns, one a 61-yarder, as the Division I-AA Dukes (1-0) piled up 653 yards total offense. The Division II Bald Eagles (0-1) managed only 69 yards and had six turnovers.

Brannon Goins ran 17 times for 129 yards and one touchdown, and Minor finished with 84 yards on just five carries.

Earnest Payton caught six passes for 181 yards, including a 50-yard scoring strike from Berry in the third quarter, to set the school record with 162 career receptions.

Dennard Melton scored two defensive touchdowns in the final minute, returning an interception 32 yards for one score and a fumble 10 yards for another.

Ed Galiczynski was 6-for-13 for 50 yards for Lock Haven.
