Patience is a virtue when out on the roads

January 17, 2019

NORFOLK - With schools back in session, and the winter weather, the Nebraska State Patrol wants to remind you to be aware of your surroundings when driving.

Troop B Trooper Gena Jones says remember there’s added traffic in the mornings around the schools so you may need to plan ahead during your morning commute.

Jones says the best thing to do is be patient.

“I know we’re getting out of the holidays, but people are tired and a little bit cranky it appears still and we just need to use patience. We see a lot people pulling out in front of somebody when they did not have time. If you’re going to do something with your vehicle that’s going to make somebody else have to drastically change their driving pattern, that’s a problem.”

Trooper Jones was a guest on News Talk WJAG’s monthly Tips from a Trooper segment.
