Sleepy Hollow Lantern Tour: On the lookout for Icabod Crane

October 2, 2018

Community theater group Artful Living will present its Sleepy Hollow Lantern Tour again at historic Parmelee Farm Homestead in Killingworth, where you can experience a legendary tale.

That’s if you can get in for one of the popular tours, from 7 p.m. on, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 12-14. The event sold out last year, say organizers.

Walking uneven trails for short distances is required, as you search for Ichabod Crane of the Washington Irving classic story from 1820. Colorful Sleepy Hollow residents are introduced along the way, raising your suspicions and building anticipation, says an Artful Living release.

You’ll ponder whether that’s Ichabod passing through the cemetery on his old horse — maybe on his way to the fall frolic to meet Katrina, the object of his affection. You will also partake in the old-fashioned fall frolic, complete with refreshments.

It’s appropriate for ages 8 and up, says Artful Living.
