Leominster Police Probe Armed Home Invasion
LEOMINSTER -- Police responded to a report of a home invasion on Mt. Pleasant Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.
Police Sgt. John Fraher confirmed the department was actively investigating the report that was called in at about 2:15 p.m.
While Fraher deferred comment on the details of the alleged home invasion, when the 911 call was made to the department, the caller said that two men wearing ski masks and armed with handguns forced their way into the apartment and then left in what was described as a white van, according to police-radio broadcasts.
Officers, according to the radio broadcasts, were examining surveillance video from homes in the area in an effort to identify the suspects and vehicle that fled the scene.
Fraher said he could not confirm that information.
