Sheriff’s Office seeks pair who allegedly stole trailer
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help for more information about a felony theft in Pleak, a village of about 1,000 people south of Rosenberg.
Information which leads to the identity and arrest of the suspects could result in a $5,000 cash reward.
“These guys brazenly stole property in broad daylight,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “Help us catch them and also earn some money the right way!”
According to the Sheriff’s Office, at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, deputies were called to the 6900 block of State Highway 36 S in Pleak. Surveillance footage showed a 2008 to 2013 black Chevrolet 1500 Z-71 drive onto the property and back up to a trailer.
“Two suspects get out of the truck, hook up to the trailer, and drive away,” the Sheriff’s Office reported. “The truck leaves north on SH 36 (toward) Rosenberg.”
The stolen trailer is a 2015 Loadtrail 14-foot dump trailer with Texas license plate No. 35l-7930.
The Sheriff’s Office described the suspects as “Hispanic males with heavy builds and appear to be in their mid- to late-30s.”
Investigators believe that “both suspects are in the construction business and are possibly from the Rosenberg or Richmond area.”
