CHICAGO _ A post-conviction motion hearing is scheduled for a Chicago police officer who fatally shot a black teenager. UPCOMING: Story on merits.


_ POLICE SHOOTING-JURY AWARD: A jury has awarded more than $1 million to the family of a man fatally shot by a Chicago police officer.

_ CANDY COMPANY-POST OFFICE: There’s some sweet news for the massive old Chicago Post Office building. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Ferrara Candy Co. announced Thursday the company is relocating its corporate headquarters there next summer. The news came as Chicago was learning Apple’s major expansion plans don’t include the city or the hulking building.

_ DOUBLE MURDER-LIFE SENTENCE: A man convicted in the 2016 bludgeoning deaths of a man and woman in a suburban Chicago auto body shop has been sentenced to life in prison.
