‘Ruck or Run’ Saturday in Dracut
DRACUT -- The SPC Matthew Pollini Memorial Fund will host its third annual SPC Pollini 5K Ruck or Run on Saturday at Lenzi’s, 810 Merrimack Ave., Dracut. The race kicks off at 11 a.m. Funds will go to victims of natural and manmade disasters as well as soldiers and first responders in severe need due to occupational hazards. There will also be refreshments, shirts, and awards.

Collection of unwanted meds
LOWELL -- The Lowell Health Department will collect unwanted medications Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 6 p.m., at its office, 341 Pine St. This is a residential disposal only; no commercial disposal.
Before you rdrop off medications, remove all personal information from bottles, and place pills in a sealable plastic bag. Unwanted needles and lancets can also be brought in a puncture-proof and sealed container.

Library celebrates ‘The Dot’ Day
CHELMSFORD -- The Chelmsford Public Library will celebrate International Dot Day on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The holiday was inspired by “The Dot,” a 2003 book written and illustrated by Chelmsford native Peter Reynolds. It’s a story about creativity and self-discovery as seen through the eyes of a young girl encouraged to make a mark.
The celebration will include storytime, crafts and snacks. Fifty copies of the book will be given away.

Redistricting forum in Billerica
BILLERICA -- Plans for a town-wide school redistricting will be announced at a public forum on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium.
The redistricting team will present three scenarios to residents at this and other forums and answer questions from the community.
The Billerica School Committee is expected to decide whether to adopt a redistricting plan by the end of November, according to Superintendent Timothy Piwowar.

Church hosts public supper
