Nuggets’ McDyess Has Knee Surgery
DENVER (AP) _ Antonio McDyess, the Denver Nuggets’ leading scorer the last two seasons, had surgery Friday to repair a partially torn patella tendon in his left knee.
The Nuggets said that McDyess is expected to recover fully by February.
McDyess also had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to clean out loose debris. That operation will not interfere with McDyess’ recovery schedule.
McDyess, an All-Star forward who averaged 20.8 points and 12.1 rebounds last season, missed 10 games late last season with a partially dislocated left kneecap. He spent much of the offseason trying to rehabilitate his knee.
