LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) _ Troy Mabone ran for two short touchdowns and Savastin Henry also scored Saturday night as Arkansas State defeated Southwestern Louisiana 20-7 in a game that was halted with 7:30 remaining because of intense rain, wind and lightning.

Both teams ended their seasons with a 2-9 record.

Mabone, Henry and Bryant Broady gained all but four of Arkansas State’s 159 yards rushing on a field declared unplayable by officials in the late going.

Broady had 56 yards on 12 carries, Henry 51 yards on 18 attempts and Mabone 48 yards on 13 carries.

Arkansas State scored all three of its touchdowns in the first half on 1- yard touchdown runs by Mabone sandwiched around a 2-yard touchdown carry by Henry early in the second period.
