Drug raids yield 4 arrests
Four people face drug and gun charges after the Fort Wane Police Department’s Vice & Narcotics Unit and the Allen County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team raided four locations.
Demonta Huddleston, 26, was charged with six counts of dealing methamphetamine, two counts of dealing heroin and one count of being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm after police entered his apartment at 2838 Northgate Blvd. around 7 a.m. Friday. Investigators found heroin, marijuana, $2,000 cash, drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun, city police said Tuesday.
Demonta Huddleston was picked up on a traffic violation Thursday night, the night before the drugs raids occurred, police said.
Gregory Huddleston, 38, was charged with two counts of dealing methamphetamine and one count of dealing heroin after his residence at 3120 Broadway, was raided around 7 a.m. Friday. Police found the drugs and more than $12,000 in cash. Two vehicles were also seized in this raid, police said.
Sherinna Haynes, 51, was charged with dealing cocaine, dealing heroin and maintaining a common nuisance after her place at 4911 Lake Ave. was raided around 7:40 a.m. Friday. Police said they found a .22 caliber revolver, heroin, cocaine and $1,175 in cash.
The three morning raids lead to a fourth raid at 1107 West Washington Blvd. at 1:30 p.m. Jermesha Davis, 27, was at this home where police recovered two stolen handguns, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin, police said.
The group was considered a drug trafficking organization and multiple drug buys were conducted over a period of time to document the activity, police said.
All were at the Allen County Jail being held in lieu of 150,000 bail for Gregory Huddleston and Davis and $100,000 for Haynes, according to court documents.
