Evelyn’s Park to host inaugural Local Music Festival onSaturday,Oct. 13
A family-friendly music festival is bringing out local bands and organizers are hoping to bring out local residents to enjoy the sounds.
Evelyn’s Park is hosting its inaugural Local Music Festival on Saturday, Oct. 13. The free event will showcase a variety of local Houston bands. Food will be served courtesy of food trucks Oh My Gogi, Balls Out Burger and Color Cone along with food from Adair Restaurants and a Skeeters Octoberfest Beer Garden.
The bands are scheduled to play from noon to 10 p.m. at Evelyn’s Park Great Lawn, 4400 Bellaire Blvd.
Founded in 2011, Evelyn’s Park Conservancy is a nonprofit citizens’ organization dedicated to the stewardship and improvement of Evelyn’s Park. Evelyn’s Park Conservancy is committed to designing, developing and transforming the 5-acre historic former Teas Nursery site into a park that will be both a quiet refuge and a flourishing place for the community by offering a blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and diverse programming that inspires and enriches the everyday of generations to come.
