Blue Ribbon Winners At Bloomsburg Fair
Crochet work created by Irene Kasaba Pachucki of Wilkes-Barre was awarded blue ribbons in the 2018 Bloomsburg Fair, the largest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania. More than 400,000 visitors attended the 163rd annual Bloomsburg Fair, which was held the last week of September 2018. Pachucki’s work was awarded three ribbons at the 2018 Bloomsburg Fair — a blue ribbon for needle craft/needlework – cape adult crochet adult’s – knitted; a blue ribbon in art-photography-crafts-hobbies – handcrafts/mixed materials – needlepoint creative holiday article, not Christmas, and a gold fourth place ribbon for needle craft pillows. Pachucki said she has been doing needlework for the past 15 years. She said she began doing it for relaxation, and frequently enters her work in fair contests. She has won first and second place awards for her work at the Luzerne County Fair, and had entries in the Bloomsburg Fair for three years. She is the former Irene Kasaba of Plains Twp.
