Woman to Pay Ex-Husband for Damaging His Sinatra Records
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) _ A woman has been ordered to pay her ex-husband $2,800 for damaging his collection of Frank Sinatra platters.
According to court records, Barbara Mossner, 41, of Shelby Township was so embittered by her divorce that she damaged the 400-record collection and drew a moustache and glasses on a poster of Ol’ Blue Eyes.
Mrs. Mossner, though, said she took out her anger on the discs before her 1983 divorce from Arthur Mossner. ″When he told me he was having an affair, before the divorce was filed, I threw a lot of his records in his den,″ she said.
Her attorney, Paul Joelson, said Mrs. Mossner considers the $2,800 payout ordered by a Circuit Court judge a victory. Her husband had valued the collection at $80,000, Joelson said. The court valued the records at about $7 each.
Mrs. Mossner said Tuesday she’ll gladly pay the sum.
″To be perfectly honest, he (Sinatra) was never one of my favorites,″ she said.
