Ashland celebrates Tourism Week
ASHLAND - Local families are encouraged to vacation locally in Kentucky this year to experience the history of Boyd County and Ashland.
The area is home to educational and entertaining stops such as the Paramount Arts Center and the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center; floodwall murals including the Quilt Trail; the Jesse Stuart Bookstore; Ashland’s Central Park; the area Hiking Trails and Biking Trails; the historic Boyd County Court House; and Rush Off Road.
National Tourism Week is Monday, May 6 through Saturday, May 11 and the Ashland/Boyd County Tourism & Convention Center invites residents to a week-long open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Each guest will receive a free Kentucky road map; a city map; Kentucky brochures; and cookies and coffee, and can talk to tourism employees about upcoming events and get a schedule of activities.
