Richard E Green May 19, 1945 - July 26, 2018 Richard Evan Green, 73, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away July 26, 2018. Richard (Rick) was born May 19, 1945 in Pocatello, Idaho to Don Evan Green and Dorothy Jean Larson Green. Rick has lived in Pocatello and Blackfoot. Rick served his country in the United States Navy . Rick had four children; Tammy, Mike, Carrie and Donny. On April 15, 2015 he married Murl L. Eveland. Rick had many jobs throughout his life; he worked construction as a truck driver, drywall, and until his retirement, he worked at the INL. Rick was an avid wood worker. Rick also had a special passion for fixing up old cars and drag racing. He also enjoyed coin collecting, baseball, and working on his ’54 Chevy Bel Air. One of Rick’s other joys was spoiling his grandchildren; Mikaela, Abby, and Samuel have great memories of Grandpa Rick coming to take them shopping for their birthday. Rick is survived by his wife, Murl of Blackfoot; children, Tammy Green of Pocatello, Mike Green of Pocatello, and Carrie (David) Page of Pocatello; and step daughters, Dani (Travis) Christensen of Pocatello and Norma Helbling of Pocatello. He is also survived by his brothers, Alan Green of Boise, Randy (Genevieve) Green of Utah, Dale (Sheri) Green of Seattle, WA and Jerry (Maureen) Green of Pocatello; sisters, Connie (Larry) Robson of Pocatello and Debbie (Marty) McCurry of Blackfoot; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Dorothy Green; brother, Robert Green; and his son, Donny Green. A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Centennial Park in Pocatello. We invite everyone who knew Rick to come share their best (and worst) stories of him.
