CANYON, Texas (AP) _ Cederick Wilbon scored a career-high 30 points as West Texas A&M rallied to defeat Southern Colorado 86-80 on Saturday.

West Texas (6-1) charged in the second half, building a 17-point lead before Southern Colorado mounted a rally.

The Thunderwolves had already closed to 71-60 with 6:29 to play when Maurice Blanding went on a 12-4 run, carrying Southern Colorado (5-4) to 77-74 with 2:14 to play.

That's when the Buffaloes regained the initiative and out-paced Southern Colorado the rest of the way.

It wasn't always that way as West Texas fell behind in the first half 30-19 with 4:59 left in the half.

But after a time out by Buffaloes coach Rick Cooper, West Texas outscored the Thunderwolves 18-2 over the final five minutes of the half to stake the Buffaloes to a 37-32 halftime lead.

DaShawn Harris contributed 19 points and a team-high eight rebounds for West Texas, while Joe Thompson added 15 points and three steals.

Blanding led Southern Colorado with 33 points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Dorenkamp added 20 points, including five from 3-point range.

The Thunderwolves were hampered by 26 turnovers, however _ seven by Dorenkamp.
