Expeditors International: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
SEATTLE (AP) _ Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (EXPD) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $153.1 million.
On a per-share basis, the Seattle-based company said it had profit of 88 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 80 cents per share.
The logistics services provider posted revenue of $2.04 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.05 billion.
Expeditors International shares have risen slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has climbed 13%. The stock has fallen 9% in the last 12 months.
